Welcome to the Logstock search tips.

Image Searching

To find the images you need, quickly and easily you can use either the "Logstock search" or the"Advanced
search" which is displayed at the right side of the Home page. We also offer free research assistance. If
you'd like personalized help finding the images you need, please contact Logstock office.

To perform a Logstock Image Search:

• Go to Home page and enter the keyword(s) for the kind of image you're searching for, or enter
  the image number(s) for specific images.
• Click 'Search' and any images that match your search will appear on the Search Results page.
  
  

Advanced image search

The Advanced Image Search contains more searching options than the Image Search at Home page. To
perform an Advanced Image Search under the Search Box select 'advanced image search'. Then follow
these steps:

• Enter your search criteria, keyword(s), image number(s) or photographer/artist and enter your
  any word in the exclude box makes ensure that none of the results contain that word.
• From search terms selection, select the type of search you wish to conduct -- either 'Match all
  words' or 'Match any words'.
• From Narrow by category selection, select 'Photos and Illustration', 'Photography only' or 'Illustration
  only' to determine the type of images you'd like to see on your Search Results page.
• Select whether you want the clarification feature select Orientation, Color VS. B&W Images and
  choose number of item/page at Rearrange images.
  
  

Search for similar images

The Search for similar images feature allows you to search for more images that are related to your initial
search term. In the Image Details view for each image, you'll see a list of associated keywords organized by
subject, style and concept. You can search on multiple keywords by selecting the appropriate checkboxes.
Or you can search on a single keyword by clicking the keyword itself.

Search results viewing options

The 'Show these images only' option allows you to filter images based on orientation and image color.

• Orientation -- choose an option other than the default 'All orientations' and you will only see images
  of that type. For example, if you select the 'Square' option, only square images will display in your
  results. Other choices are 'Horizontal', 'Panoramic' and 'Vertical'.
• Color and B&W -- view images that are either color or black-and-white by selecting one of those
  options from the second 'Show these images only' drop-down menu.
  
  

Rearrange images

Sort image results to change the way they appear on your screen using the options under the 'Rearrange
images' heading. Images can be rearranged using the following criteria:

• Number of images per page -- choose to display 12, 36 or 60 images per page.
• Default order -- for this option the images appear in no particular order.
• Collections -- this sorts the results alphabetically by image collection.
• B&W images -- raises black-and-white images to the front of the search results.
• Color images -- raises color images to the front of the search results.
• Rights-managed -- rearranges results so that rights-managed images appear first.
• Royalty-free -- rearranges results so that royalty-free images appear first.
